Dimple board
Dimple board is a protective sheet made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It is lightweight, flexible, strong, durable, and non-toxic. Dimple boards are used for:
- Protecting the waterproofing membrane on basement walls
- Separating the retaining wall from the earth, thus protecting the wall against water and humidity
- Relieving hydrostatic pressure
- Extending below-grade waterproofing membrane lifespan
- Providing an efficient and cost-effective drainage plane
- Protecting a foundation from water intrusion
- Eliminating the need for costly full-height gravel
- Preventing moisture from passing through
- Allowing a wall to breathe, allowing moisture to condensate outward so it falls by gravity to a drainage system
